形態特徵

• Plants 30-50 cm tall. Rhizomes obscure. Pseudobulbs closely aggregated, ovoid to conic-globose, 2-3.5 cm tall, 1-2.5 cm in diam., with 3 or 4 nodes.
• Leaves 2-4, elliptic-oblong, 20-35 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, acute at apex, cuneate at base, nearly coriaceous, strongly plicate, with rather distinct veins; petioles 8-15 cm long.
• Scapes producing with new leaves, ca. 40 cm tall, slightly pubescent; flower bearing portion 10 cm long, ca. 10-flowered; bracts ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 5-7 mm long; pedicel and ovary 1.3-1.6 cm long, slightly pubescent. Flowers ca. 10 cm, yellowish green, ca. 2 cm in diam.; sepals subequal, elliptic or ovate-oblong, 1-1.3 cm long, 5-7 mm wide, acute at apex, slightly contracted at base; petals narrowly elliptic, 1 cm long, 3-4 mm wide; lip yellowish green, marked with red, obovate in outline, 1-1.3 cm long, spurless but shallowly saccate at base, 3-lobed, lateral lobes at base, small, auriclelike, central lobe, reniform or cordate, strongly undulate and crispate, disc with 3-5 redish-brown, fleshy crest-like longitudinal ridges; column stout, ca. 5 mm long, upper surface winged laterally, lower half sides fused with base of lip; anther ovate, 3 mm long; pollinia clavate, 2 mm long, attached to small viscidium; stigma solitary, rostellum short, bifid.

分布

• 台灣 : forests at 2,000-2,500 m in the mountainous regions of Central Range.
• 世界 : Widely distributed in the Himalaya, northeast India, southern and western China and Japan.
